    🌟 What is Gluten-Free at Wendy's?

Wendy's has a pretty extensive gluten-free menu. Some of the items are naturally gluten-free, and some can be made gluten-free with just a few substitutions. However, please note that Wendy's states on its website that it doesn't have a dedicated gluten-free kitchen, so there is a chance of cross-contamination. Unfortunately, the traditional Wendy's burgers are off-limits because Wendy's doesn't serve gluten-free buns. However, you can order a “no-bun” or a lettuce wrap.

Here is an overview of all the gluten-free options available at Wendy's, based on their official allergen menu.

    Salads

Wendy's salads are a safe option for those with Celiac disease or gluten sensitivity. That said, you'll need to make a couple of adjustments—both the chicken and croutons contain gluten, so be sure to leave them out to keep your salad gluten-free.

Here is a list of all the gluten-free salads available at Wendy's:

    • Garden Side Salad (no croutons)
    • Caesar Side Salad (no croutons)

🚫 Items to Avoid at Wendy's

You should avoid items that are made with wheat like chicken nuggets, hamburger buns, sausage gravy, biscuits, English muffins, and homestyle French toast sticks as well as bakery items, like the oatmeal bar, chocolate chunk cookie, and sugar cookies.  If you are concerned with cross-contamination you should also avoid the French fries and grilled chicken as they are prepared together with items that contain wheat

    💬 FAQ:

    Does Wendy’s have gluten-free buns?

No, Wendy’s doesn't offer gluten-free buns. All their buns are made with wheat flour, and there's no gluten-free option available. However, you can request a lettuce wrap for your burger or simply order it without the bun.

    Are Wendy’s fries gluten-free?

Wendy’s French fries are not classified as gluten-free. Although they are prepared from naturally gluten-free ingredients—potatoes, sea salt, and vegetable oil—Wendy’s cannot ensure they are entirely gluten-free. This is because the fries are cooked in a fryer shared with other items, such as chicken nuggets and hash browns, which contain gluten and may cause cross-contamination.

    Are Wendy’s Frosty’s gluten-free?

Yes, Wendy’s Frosty’s are gluten-free. According to their website, Frosty’s are made from milk, sugar, corn syrup, cream, whey, nonfat dry milk, cocoa, guar gum, and other gluten-free ingredients.

Why is Wendy's chicken not gluten-free?

There is a risk of cross-contamination because the chicken might be sliced on the same cutting board or handled with the same tongs as foods containing gluten.

    Is Wendy’s chili gluten-free?

Yes, Wendy’s chili is gluten-free. According to their website, the chili is made with naturally gluten-free ingredients.
